The Oman Story
Oman Funeral Home & Crematory was founded in August of 1985 by Bob and Sid Oman. The father and son team purchased their original funeral home located in Great Bridge from the Francis A. Gay family, who originally built the funeral home. The Oman family has proudly served the Hampton Roads community in both funeral service, and service to the community.
Years later we continue on with the traditions and values that have contributed to our success from the beginning. Awarded "Best Funeral Home" in Chesapeake since 1996, we are proud to offer traditional and contemporary services for both burial and cremation arrangements. Renovated in 2015, our state-of-the-art funeral home, with a spacious chapel, gracious reception facilities, and Chesapeake's first on-site crematory, is your home-town choice where our professional services and facilities don't cost more, probably less.
